Health & Safety

Wildlings Mountain Camp has been purposefully designed to encourage exploration, creativity, and play. We are committed to the highest standards of health and safety protocols to protect the Wildlings in our care.

  • All surfaces are cleaned every hour with non-toxic cleaning products, and more frequently as needed. After a toy is used it is moved out of circulation to be cleaned. Deep cleans are conducted nightly.

  • Wildlings Mountain Camp is equipped with the Air Doctor 5000, a powerful air purifier that circulates the air in our space every 15 minutes.

  • The health and safety of our Wildlings is first priority and we take this very seriously. Strong health and safety practices are the heart of our programs. A key to preventing illness in a childcare setting is to form trusting relationships between parents and teachers around sharing important health information about your child’s condition when they are admitted. If your child has fever, sore throat, diarrhea, or is nauseous or vomiting, they will not be accepted into care. If your child has recently been ill, they must be symptom-free, without the benefit of medications, for 24 hours. Parents or guardians will be notified to pick up their child immediately, if the child becomes ill during their stay.

  • Wildlings Mountain Camp utililzes Procare: a software allowing for an easy and secure check-in/out process. Prior to drop-off parents will be required to create a profile for their Wildling(s) on the Procare website or Procare App.

After you have registered your Wildling on Procare, you will be given a secure pin for each child. You will enter this pin upon drop-off and pick-up for a secure and easy check-in and out process.

For the safety of your child, we will require a photo ID that matches the name and photo you have approved as a pick-up guardian for your child.

  • For the safety of the children in our care, parents and guardians will only be allowed in the lobby of our facility. In accordance with child care licensing regulations, any individual aged 13 or older must have completed a comprehensive background check before being allowed in the main area of our facility.

Once parents complete check-in, the child will be allowed through agate by a faculty member, where we will assist in putting the Wildlings personal belongings away. All doors in the facility are equipped with child protected locks and/or codes.

To help both the parent and child feel more comfortable on their first visit, a brief tour is available upon request. Tours will be given prior to the facility opening and after closing.

  • We may take photos of activities and Wildlings in our center to share with you (their registered guardian) or to promote some of the fun activities we have planned. Photos may be used on social media with your permission only. You can follow along on our accounts to see what is happening in our center. You will be required to sign a waiver upon registration, indicating whether or not you would like photos taken of your Wildling.

About Us

Caregivers

Each staff member is CPR and First Aid trained, and each staff member receives a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting before working in our center. We are in compliance with The Utah Department of Health's strict guidelines on training for all childcare providers.

Ratios

In order to provide the best care for your Wildling, we separate the children based on age and development. The state mandated ratio for 2-11 years old is 12:1. For your Wildling to have the best experience, our goal is to adhere to a ratio of 6:1 or less.

Behavior Management

In order for Wildlings to stay kind and grow wild, we ask all Wildlings to treat themselves and others with respect. We do not allow fighting of any kind. If repeated incidents occur, we may ask parents to pick up their children or take a break from coming to Wildlings Mountain Camp until behavior is remedied.
